Dance Specialties has been serving the area for
over 30 years. Heather Maree, partnered with her mother, Pam Carroll,
took ownership in 2000. Heather has been dancing for over 25 years and
has been recognized regionally and nationally for Top Teacher and Top
Choreographer.

2011-2012--Student of the Year Ashlyn Calvert is 15 years old and has been dancing for 13 years. She has been at Dance Specialties for 8 years where she has ranked nationally numerous times at dance competitions. She is a sophomore at Gaston Christian School where she is on the honor role. Ashlyn is currently a member of the varsity cheer squad and also a member of the national beta club. Previously, she was captain of the middle school cheer squad, a member of the middle school soccer team, and also vice president of the junior beta club. She attends Bethlehem Baptist Church where she is apart of the worship team. Dance is a passion of hers and has always been close to her heart. Being part of a wonderful dance family makes all of her dance experiences even better! |

Recreational dancer–Student of the Year Kaela Hughes is 7 years old. She has been dancing for 3 years. She loves dancing whether it is in the studio, at home, or outside in the yard. She is always dancing and singing. Kaela's other interest are soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming and writing stories. |
